Question

So, my mom is suddenly on this whole stint where she wants to send me to other camps in addition to CBK. I don't feel like this is a good idea.  I, of course, have gone to other camps in the same summer before, but have any of you ever been to multiple, three-week intensive camps in the same summer as CBK?  I feel like it would be too much, and it just wouldn't be the same as the Nerd Summer Program I love.  If you've had experience with this, I'd like to know.

    I would just tell your parents how you feel about having too many camps. Part of the reason I like summer is that I have the free time to pursue things I can't normally pursue while in school.

    It's not exactly the same, but one summer I spent two weeks at CBK, a week visiting family in California, and two weeks backpacking at girl scout camp. By the end of the summer I was exhausted.

    Tell them that you want summer to be pretty relaxing and laid back, and remind them you might start getting summer homework soon and you'll need time to do that.
