Withdrawal-ness

Today we picked my sister up from her Nerd Camp (which, I will say, was fun for her but not nearly as awesomesauce as CBK.  Just a personal opinion).  It was weird being at home for an entire week, and yet not seeing her.  I sent her a letter, but she didn't even get it!  And then, after their ceremony, they asked us all (parents and siblings too), to stand in a circle and sing "Lean On Me."  Which made a wave of CBK withdrawal hit me, because I remember standing in the lounge, the room decorated for the dance, and talking with Kristen.  She was telling me how "Lean on Me" was stuck in her head.

And now, I'm home.  It's Sunday, my least favorite day of the week, and the weather is being absolutely, one hundred percent stupid (look, it's summer, okay, not fall, and it's almost cold enough in my house to turn on the heater, if it was possible, which it isn't since the AC is programmed to come on, not the heater).  It is SO cold, and to make matters worse, it's cloudy and gloomy.  What happened to carefree days of riding my bike and going to the pool?  *sigh*  Anyway, I'm really bored, sitting on the computer, and I'm really wishing I'm back at CBK, where the weather is more normal and actually sunny and not just cloudy all the time, and where I was among my people rather than being bored.  I think it's worse that I'm cranky from CBK withdrawal and lack of sleep.

I guess the good news is that my dad is going on this adventure thing with the Boy Scouts starting tomorrow, so we basically have a girl's week.  We've got some stuff planned, mainly going to see Despicable Me 2, which I already saw and don't mind seeing again.  The main this is that I'll be laughing at stuff they don't think is funny (namely, tai chi).  But whatever, inside jokes are the greatest.

I think for me, there's no such thing as gloom at CBK.  Which is why this is so hard.  Oh, how I just need a day out at the pool...

I hope you guys are dealing with your withdrawal better than I am!  I once again congratulate those of you who actually socialized.  The main thing I did was going to my church youth group on Tuesday.

Peace out,
Aria
